Limited News is Good News: An Experiment

Election Day 2024 is exactly one year away, and rather than getting swept up in the anger and fear that often come with consuming endless news streams, especially in the run-up to a presidential election, I’m narrowing my focus. I’m limiting news — no Twitter (er, X), no national papers, no global news, no niche newsletters. Instead, for the next 365 days, I’ll be getting all my news from one source: The Chicago Tribune, our local paper. The theory is simple: By being even fussier about the info I watch and read, and how much, I’ll be less stressed and better able to fight for unity. More to come.
